Congratulations to Levelwear's Newest Brand Ambassador, Adam Hadwin on winning the 2017 Valspar Championship
A Whole New Level: Levelwear Ambassador Adam Hadwin Earns His First PGA TOUR Victory
‘Mr. Northern 59’, Adam Hadwin continues to make his mark on the PGA TOUR this season finishing at the top of the leaderboard on Sunday at the 2017 Valspar Championship, claiming his first PGA TOUR victory.
Toronto, Ontario (March 12, 2017) - Levelwear’s newest Global Brand Ambassador and Canada’s rising golf star, Adam Hadwin fought his way to a well deserved victory, conquering Copperhead’s ‘snake pit’ at Innisbrook this Sunday in an exhilarating 18th hole finale against Patrick Cantlay.
With a strong finish to Friday’s round, birdieing six holes with no bogeys on the back nine, Hadwin continued that momentum into the weekend, extending his lead to four strokes thanks to an attractive third round score of 67, sinking two massive putts from incredible distances. Sunday’s final round was a tight race as Hadwin and Cantlay both played an impressive 18 holes of golf, however, Canada’s Hadwin was triumphant as he sunk his one-foot putt on 18 for par and the win. Hadwin was sporting Levelwear’s “Dynamic” polo, specifically engineered with seams across his shoulders and back to allow for unrestricted motion throughout his swing.
Two months prior, Hadwin became the 4th player in PGA TOUR history to shoot sub 60 on a par 72 course. Hadwin finished the third round at the CareerBuilder Challenge with an incredible 59, the first Canadian ever to do so on the PGA TOUR. Hadwin, now entering his third year on TOUR, has hit his stride, capturing numerous top ten finishes, and has now earned his first PGA Tour victory. Born in Saskatchewan and raised in BC, Hadwin broke through on the Web.com Tour in 2014 where he captured titles at the Chile Classic and Chiquita Classic to eventually win the 2014 combined Web.com Tour’s money list, earning his PGA TOUR card.
“I’m thrilled. I finished each round this week feeling confident and like I had a chance. I was putting myself in positions to make putts and staying within myself. This season has been very exciting so far and I feel like my game has finally reached the level to which I can compete against the best players in the world. I want to thank my team and my sponsors for the tremendous support, they have been a vital role in my success thus far,” said Adam Hadwin after Sunday’s final round.
